Toumai Kafri is Associate Director of Development at CARE USA. In her current role she collaborates with the private sector and internal stakeholders across the CARE confederation to grow the economic resilience of communities that contribute to- and are impacted by corporate supply chains.
With a decade of experience as a humanitarian and a international development professional, Toumai has held leadership positions with various iNGOs, managing finances and cultivating partnerships.
Her field experience includes leading humanitarian relief teams to onset emergencies and designing international development programs centering locally-led development. Toumai’s work has taken her to Bolivia, Colombia, Guatemala, France, South Sudan, Haiti, and most recently Timor-Leste, where she held the role of CARE Timor-Leste’s Interim Program Director.
Toumai holds a Master of International Relations from Columbia University, concentrating on Human Rights and Humanitarian Policy, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Economics from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Canada. She’s fluent in French, Hebrew, and Spanish.
