Get Your Phil: Jewish and Israeli humanitarian relief work

The universalist interpretation of tikkun olam has been particularly challenged in the wake of the Oct. 7 terror attacks, as the Jewish world’s attention focused inward and began more warily eyeing international human rights organizations as many adopted potently anti-Israel stances. Add to that the decision by the White House last month to freeze funding for USAID, the largest financial supporter of international development programs in the world.
