Raphael Poch is the International Spokesperson and Head of Digital Media for United Hatzalah of Israel. Raphael is also an EMT, EMS team leader, ambucyclist, and member of the Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Team, which provides psychological first aid and emotional stabilization to people who have experienced medical emergencies or suffered from disasters. Through his work in United Hatzalah, Raphael has participated in and helped orchestrate nearly a dozen international rescue and humanitarian aid missions over the past 7 years, including hurricanes, mass shooting incidents, the Surfside building collapse, the war in Ukraine, and most recently the earthquake in Turkey.
As the head of the International Spokesperson’s Department and Digital Media Team, Raphael has a strong knowledge of communications and marketing and how they can be galvanized to assist in the success of relief efforts around the globe. Prior to his work in the field of EMS and international response, Raphael worked as a journalist, theater director, actor, playwright, and improviser. He originally hails from Toronto, Canada, and currently lives and works in Israel.
