Who can become an OLAM member?

OLAM’s Individual Membership is open to Jewish practitioners working in the fields of international development, humanitarian assistance, and global service.

Members are:

  • employees of an organization or company that is not an OLAM partner
  • independent consultants
  • entrepreneurs
  • retired, or
  • in between positions

Members must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in the aforementioned fields or have a related master’s degree.

  • Exclusive webinars for members where you can network with others, discuss timely issues relating to your work, and hear updates from OLAM
  • Eligibility for Members Circles (in person Members Circles for residents of Washington, DC and London, and Virtual Members Circles for all others)
  • Discounted registration fee to OLAM’s annual Focal Point conference – the premier Jewish convening on global responsibility. (Focal Point 2023 took place in May 2023 in Washington, DC. Keep your eyes out for information about Focal Point 2024.)
  • Access to OLAM in Motion – up to $500 per year for subsidies to be used for the following categories:
    ○ Attending/presenting at a Jewish conference
    ○ Speaking tour in Jewish communities
    ○ Collaborating professionally with an OLAM partner organization or another individual member
    ○ Learning from an OLAM partner or consulting for a partner
  • Access to OLAM’s Aspire ethical practices program, including webinars, trainings, steering committees, and more (exclusive to OLAM partners and members)
  • Access to OLAM’s social media platforms and groups, including job/volunteer opportunities, topical discussions, and sharing of resources and events
  • Access to one-on-one consultation, training, or technical assistance by OLAM staff
  • Programming about global development that is uniquely inspired by Jewish text, history, and wisdom
