Present at a Jewish Conference: The Fine Print
OLAM in Motion
The OLAM in Motion subsidy offers staff members of OLAM partner organizations up to $1,500/year and OLAM individual members up to $500/year to present at a Jewish conference on topics related to international development, humanitarian aid, or global service.
OLAM in Motion aims to promote global responsibility within Jewish spaces. Therefore, this subsidy is only available for conferences with clear Jewish content, and only for presentations that highlight your global work.
While in past years, OLAM in Motion subsidized attendance at a Jewish conference, moving forward the applicant must be presenting at the conference in order to receive a subsidy. However, in certain cases, funds can be used to attend a Jewish conference or participate in an organization fair, where you can share about your global work - even if you are not presenting.
Not sure if your conference or type of participation qualifies? Email yael@olamtogether.org for clarification.
The subsidy can be used for an economy flight or train ticket and/or to conference registration fees. Please note that you must attend the entire conference, either in person or virtually, in order to receive the subsidy.
Being approved for an OLAM in Motion subsidy is not a guarantee that you can register and/or present at the conference. You must be in direct contact with the conference organizers to register and/or pitch a session.
